About Us

The Superwoman Retreat was co-founded by Camara Epps and Jasmine Garland who have been friends for over twenty years. When you’ve been friends that long, you experience life together: graduations, marriages, divorces, kids, health issues and loss. They have both found in their own personal experiences the importance of self-care.

The Superwoman Retreat is a space for women of color to come together and share their experiences as well as find reprieve from the highs and lows of our rewarding, but demanding lifestyles.

Camara Epps

Camara holds a B.A. in English from Spelman College and a M.S. in Integrated Marketing from New York University. Her background is in marketing and media. Recently, Camara decided to commit her life to helping others and is pursuing her M.A. in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at New York University. She is an avid traveler, loves cultural experiences and will attend a concert in a heartbeat. Camara resides in New Jersey with her furry guy, ‘Marley’.

Jasmine Garland

Jasmine resides in metro Atlanta with her husband and two children. Originally from New Jersey, Jasmine received her B.A. in Spanish & Linguistics at Rutgers University’s Douglass College in New Brunswick. She is a serial entrepreneur that believes strongly in the importance of women finding harmony when juggling their passions. This belief is supported through her love of tea and the moments of respite that she helps others experience through her hand-blended tea business, TranquiliTea House.
